History of Sean Borchert Design
I started this freelance company in October 2004, supporting the late-model automotive craze of the 2000’s. During this time, 3D CAD was finally trickling down to the small-business sector. I was first learning SolidWorks and envisioned a business that could design, quite literally, anything across the solar system. Jumping on the different bandwagons through the years, I dabbled in website design, transportation consulting, mobile apps and even show business. My core expertise remained. Working with and for companies from the Manufacturing, Semiconductor, Aerospace, Medical and Automotive industries in the twenty-teens, my expertise in CAD, CFD and FEA has advanced beyond my wildest dreams of 2008, 2006 or even the founding year.
I am a dedicated and determined individual with years of
real-world experience.
I have worked with and for companies in the Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Semiconductor, Aerospace, Medical and Automotive industries. Additionally, I have designed products for consumer, commercial and industrial use from Startups to Fortune 100 companies.
While working as a product and mechanical designer full time, I returned to school part-time to finish my degree in Engineering. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in December 2017 with my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
